The pilot group of Responsible Futures students' unions and institutions have been nominated for the first ever UNESCO-Japan prize for Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).
Working in partnership between universities, colleges and students’ unions, Responsible Futures offers a framework for ensuring that sustainability can thrive in every single curriculum.
The National UNESCO Commission in the UK nominated 13 students' unions and institutions for this prestigious UN-led award for transforming learning environments.
Being nominated for a UNESCO ESD award shows how much that has been achieved to date through the Responsible Futures programme. The full list of prize winners will be announced in August, with the Award ceremony taking place in November 2015.
