Institutionalising sustainability in the curriculum and the student experience

‘Green Academy: Curricula for Tomorrow’ is a development of the Higher Education Academy’s (HEA) original Change Academy with a specific developmental focus on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). It was run as pilot by the HEA in 2011.The workshop will open with group
discussions around the infrastructure and representations required to begin the process of embedding sustainability in the curriculum and the student experience across the institution. The Green Academy process and three exemplar projects will then be presented, after which delegates will be asked to critically appraise the approach and outcomes of the Green Academy to-date.
