The EAUC-Scotland Office have launched an Accelerator Programme to help new sustainability staff and interns develop the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in a sustainability engagement role.
The Programme was developed in response to sector requests for basic skills training for new staff, and concerns around the amount of time line managers have to spend supporting new recruits to understand the sector landscape.
The three month structured programme consists of three full training days, fortnightly one-to-one online development meetings, engagement with a peer network, and ongoing advice and support when required. Through a series of six training modules, delivered over the three support days alongside networking opportunities and an understanding of careers paths within the sector, participants will develop both skills and knowledge.
The Programme aims develop a pool of early-career or new-to-sustainability professionals certified as having a baseline level of knowledge, skills and networks to thrive in engagement roles within Scotland's universities and colleges.
