With the debate around a low carbon future constantly in the news, the Institute for Transport Studies (ITS) at the University of Leeds is launching a topical new course - ‘MSc Sustainability (Transport)’.
The new course taps into the challenging transport and sustainability policy agenda of recent times, as highlighted by the Stern Review, Eddington Study and the Committee on Climate Change reports, each prompting the UK to develop new low carbon, socially inclusive, economic growth strategies. The media storm surrounding Heathrow expansion and the failure of the Manchester congestion charge provide ample illustration of just how difficult this policy environment has become.
