Take Action on Active Travel

Please find below a PDF of the policy call "Take action on active travel", developed by a working group of public health and transport organisations, and supported by a broad cross-sectoral constituency of 57 bodies at the time of going to press, including the EAUC.

"Take action on active travel" will be used by the partner organisations thereafter to influence policy, at all levels, and local practice. Our aim is to catalyse a significant change in the way we shape the environments within which we all live, so that healthy physical activity, through walking and cycling, are realistic and appealing options for everyone.

We encourage additional organisational signatories to come forward at the website of the Association of Directors of Public Health - www.adph.org.uk. We hope for a continuation of the sign-up process, as the support of additional significant bodies will help us to influence governments.
