By train

There are regular trains to Edinburgh Waverley from Glasgow (<1 hour), Dundee (<1 hour 30 minutes), Aberdeen (<3 hours) and Inverness (< 4 hours). For information visit the Trainline website.


Lothian Buses 14, 33, N30, 2 and X33 visit the nearby Commonwealth Pool stop. Plan your journey within Edinburgh using the Lothian Buses website or use the University of Edinburgh's Public bus & tram services page.

By Bike

The University of Edinburgh provides a range of bike parking facilities across its campuses, including over 7000 bike parking spaces. To view bike rack locations near the venue, visit the campus map and select the "Cycle Facilities" layer.

The venue is a 10 minute cycle from Edinburgh Waverley train station and 12 minutes from Edinburgh bus station.

Should you find it difficult to get to the conference by train and are thinking of driving to the event, we really encourage you to put your journey into Liftshare and see if it’s possible to car share with someone else. Liftshare is a free service for individuals.

Parking

Parking in Edinburgh's city centre is limited and highly controlled. There is some very limited on-site parking at the venue, but we recommend using public transport or active travel where possible. If this is likely to be a barrier, please get in touch. 

The University of Edinburgh has park and ride facilities offering free and easy parking with frequent and fast public transport connections to the city centre.
