The Sustainable Scotland Network (SSN) team announced on 14 December 2016 an excellent return rate on the first mandatory year of Public Sector Climate Change Reporting. Colleges and Universities had a 95% response rate, with 145 of the 150 eligible public sector organisations submitting a return.
The reports provide insight into how Scottish public sector bodies are addressing climate change, and for colleges and universities have taken over from the previous EAUC-Scotland UCCCfS Reporting process. All submitted reports will be published on the SSN website early next year.
SSN are now performing an initial quality assurance process, which will be followed by a full analysis of the data. Following this, EAUC-Scotland will provide an analysis of the further and higher education sector data for the Scottish Funding Council. EAUC-Scotland will also use the submissions to identify areas of focus for resource development, training, and individual support over the next year.
All institutions who participated in the Climate Change Reporting process are strongly encouraged to feed into the SSN functional review through the questionnaire sent to each organisation’s Reporting Lead. If you have any feedback which you feel EAUC-Scotland should also be aware of, or any requests for future support, please email scotland@eauc.org.uk.
Well done to all who submitted by the deadline!
