This is a call to action from young activists and trade unions, emphasising the need for collective action
In time for COP27, Students Organising for Sustainability (SOS-UK), Mock COP and the University and College Union (UCU) have launched a new film highlighting the impacts of the climate crisis on students, pupils, and the education workforce. The film raises awareness to the parallels of how the climate crisis is affecting those in the Global South and the Global North. We hear the personal stories of the educators impacted and how these climatic events are detrimentally affecting learning, as well as the physical and emotional damage caused.
This is a call to action from young activists and trade unions, emphasising the need for collective action in addressing the climate crisis in our education institutions and how we need to harness the role of education.
The first screening of the film took place at the Children and Youth Pavilion at COP27.
