Guidance on WEEE issued by DTI

Guidance on the waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) regulations have been issued by the Department of Trade and Industry.

Members will be glad to hear that the EAUC are about to start preparing initial outline guidance with support of an environmental lawyer and sector colleagues Ann Galbraith at Glasgow and Alex McFarlane at Nottingham Trent Universities. As it is early days for the Directive, we anticipate a two stage approach to guidance with a fuller Insight Guide to WEEE coming out later.
