The Environmental Audit Committee examines the Future of the Natural Environment after the EU Referendum. The inquiry has a particular focus on the future of agro-environment funding and schemes outside the EU.

Purpose of the session:
The inquiry follows on from the September 7th oral evidence session on environmental policy outside the EU with Dr Thérèse Coffey (Parliamentary Under-Secretary, Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) and Mr Robin Walker (Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department for Exiting the European Union).
This evidence session features two panels. The first is a scene setting session for the current state of the environment and EU protections, with academics and wildlife bodies. The second is a scene setting session for land use in the UK and the use of subsidies, with farming and land management bodies.
