An environmental management system (EMS) without effective audits will underperform and has a tendency to fall apart. Auditing is a skill and a very important one. This IEMA-approved course will introduce delegates to the principles and practicalities of auditing. It looks at identifying the significant environmental risks, the legal obligations of your organisation, how to audit these effectively, and what to look for to ensure that you are fully compliant.
This is an enjoyable course with a serious purpose. Using presentations, exercises and discussion to get you started with environmental audits, the training is delivered through practical exercises that give delegates experience of realistic situations. Those who complete the course will leave the course ready to undertake their first environmental audit back at their own institution. This IEMA approved EMS Internal Auditor course gives delegates all the information they need to audit their environmental management system as required by ISO14001.
