The concordat demonstrates welcome leadership in this field
EAUC is supportive of UKRI’s Concordat for Environmental Sustainability of Research and Innovation Practice. We’ve long advocated whole-organisation approaches to sustainability and for many of our members, research is a considerable part of what they do. The concordat demonstrates welcome leadership in this field, and we seek to support its further development and delivery where possible.
Today we publish our response to a UKRI consultation inviting the views of potential signatories and supporters of the concordat. As well as our own insights, knowledge and expertise, we hosted a consultation event for our members to inform our response. We see our engagement in such consultations as critical to help create an enabling environment for greater sustainability action across our sector.
