The Green Gown Awards Ceremony will take place on Monday 5 November at The Great Hall, University of Birmingham.
The Green Gown Awards black-tie ceremony brings together the leaders, drivers and thinkers of sustainability initiatives within the tertiary education sector. Show your support and get inspiration from the shortlisted applicants by being a part of the most prestigious recognition of best practice within the education sector.Iain Patton, EAUC CEO comments:
"Given the pressure we are all under, the quantity and quality of the applications was very high indeed. Sustainability isn't going away: we can't let it. Creating a shortlist was incredibly difficult for the 30 sector-based judges but we are now looking forward to unveiling the winners of the 2012 Green Gown Awards at The Great Hall in November. By choosing a sector venue to host the Awards we maintain the important connection between the Awards ethos and its continued support for the sector.”This year we are proud to announce that we have chosen a perfect sector venue to host the Awards Ceremony and celebrate the exceptional sustainability initiatives being undertaken by universities and colleges across the UK.
We're also extremely pleased to announce that our host for the evening is Simon Fanshawe. Currently Chair of the University of Sussex, Simon is a writer, broadcaster and a non-executive director in the public and private sector.
EAUC Members can book single tickets and tables at discounted rates and we have pre-negotiated some fantastic hotel rates.
Drinks reception from 18.30 hours with the Awards presentation ending at 23.00. Entertainment until 1am. This event is black tie.
