If ever there was a course you needed to catch up with what carbon is all about, this is the one!
‘Know your carbon: the fundamentals” is the one day course aimed at all organisations in the HE/FE sector who are looking to benefit from implementing low carbon strategies at all levels. The course will provide you with an up-to-date overview of key national strategies and policies, including new requirements for all organisations in the UK, as well as focusing on HE/FE sector-specific commitments.
If you have responsibility for planning carbon or energy management in your college, school or university this course will provide you with an excellent overview of key national targets and the tools and techniques to implement low carbon strategies. It will help you start to recognise the issues and make significant savings.
Carbon footprinting and other tools and techniques to audit, review and reduce your organisation’s carbon footprint will be covered in some depth, and practical exercises throughout the day will ensure that you feel confident about implementing carbon management programmes when you return to work.
Successful case studies from the HE/FE sector will be an important element of the day, and will allow attendees to consider these examples in relation to their own organisation and to ask about the practicalities of implementing new ideas and plans.
