In this webinar, Energise will explain the updates to the calculator that have been implemented as a result of the release of the latest Future Energy Scenario figures in July 2024, and how this may impact figures for existing users.
BUFDG, AUDE, and EAUC will share data on sector engagement with the calculator, highlights from the recent 12-month review survey, and how this information has informed future plans for this tool.
There will also be time allocated for the final ‘surgery’ with Energise, which will be the last chance for those using the calculator to seek direct technical support from the developers prior to the end of the maintenance contract.
This session is open to members of AUDE, BUFDG, EAUC, HESPA and HEPA.
Background
In July 2023 AUDE (the Association of Higher Education Directors of Estates), BUFDG and the EAUC (the Alliance for Sustainability Leadership in Education) published Cost of Net Zero report and corresponding calculator to help tertiary education institutions model early-stage cost estimations and scenarios to achieve net zero targets within a certain timeframe.
This work was delivered by Energise (a sustainability consultancy supporting organisations and sectors to collaboratively address their carbon footprint by providing expertise and tools), with additional funding from the Department for Education.
