Do you want to know more about SKA and hear an excellent case study of how Aston University has adopted the SKA HE methodology through all its refurbishment schemes, fully assessing projects that are over £1million.
In 2018 Aston was awarded the second GOLD rating under the SKA HE scheme and is working toward its third GOLD. The principals of the scheme are within all our main specifications as well as with the University bespoke Sustainable Construction Spec for new build.
The session will go through how the rating scheme works as well as hearing how it was embedded at Aston University.
Presented by Andrew Bryers, Sustainability and Energy Manager at Aston University and Elina Grigoriou, RICS Accredited SKA rating assessor from grigoriou interiors, who will give some insight into how her support and technical involvement in the SKA rating initiative since 2007, has been instrumental in bringing the system into effect.
Elina represents GI as a RICS SKA Development Partner, is the SKA Technical Advisor to the RICS, and is Chair of the SKA Technical Committee; in addition, she advises on its future development and international expansion.
You will also have the opportunity to feedback, ask questions and give us some insight into further sessions around SKA and where you feel you need more input.
