Dealing with Biological Waste is a critical issue for organisations with medical and biological facilities. The legislation governing this waste stream (Hazardous Waste Regs 2005, Duty of Care) is complex and requires organisations to stream, segregate and dispose of waste carefully and systematically and to train staff appropriately.
This one day course will take participants through the legislation and the procedures that have been developed to help institutions ‘deal with biological waste’. It will discuss practical problems that can occur and how they can be managed effectively.
The workshop also includes a demonstration of the epiGenesys system, which takes the user through the legislation and system procedures relative to their post and tests them on their understanding.
