Informal social meeting with a garden visit followed by discussions and networking.
The garden is located at Avery Hill Campus, on the Southwood Site in Eltham.
General plan:
2.00pm – 2.15pm
Welcome & Introductions
2.15pm – 3.00pm
Garden visit explaining history, planning, planting, volunteering, communications & promotion, integration within teaching, wellbeing and community outreach.
3.00pm – 4.30pm
Workshops/ discussions. Depending on what the attendees are seeking from this section there are a number of areas that could be discussed/explored in more detail. The session will harvest the collective knowledge of the group. These could for example include:
Getting a community garden started
Managing the garden
Who can help you?
Challenges
4.30pm onwards
Networking & Social – feel free to bring a bottle or some other refreshments and enjoy catching up with colleagues
