Programme Background
For 3 years the EAUC has worked with Leith Sharp, to build a unique sustainability leadership programme focusing on influencing organisational culture to facilitate transformative change for sustainability. The Programme Experience
Why a Lab? In short, although we will be providing you with executive training and new models of leadership, we do not pretend to have all of the answers. Bringing sustainability and institutional leaders together to share, network and coach will help us to identify and crystallise new ideas, methods and practices. The Lab is a space for shared learning, trying out ideas and testing them on your peers. Learning from each other is just as important as learning from the excellent speakers at this event, and your input will be crucial in shaping the future of the EAUC Driving Sustainability Leadership Programme. This unique residential event is designed to advance new leadership and organisational capabilities developed by the Harvard programme that will best prepare the sector to embrace sustainability at the highest level. It addresses the work of transforming long-standing organisational identity, culture, structures and processes to unleash new levels of engagement, change, innovation and agility - with a focus on sustainability and future-ready graduates. How can the tertiary education sector become as agile, innovative and change capable as the world around it, while ensuring that human and planetary wellbeing is at the core of its mission and business? This training will equip you with the tools to form your own individual solution to this question.
Learning Outcomes
- Position sustainability as a powerful transformational force for ensuring quality growth, purpose and relevance for tertiary education.
- Design and pilot new organisational models and leadership practices that break down pre-existing silos, create trust and leverage the unique capabilities of different stakeholders to tackle challenges with increased levels of engagement, creativity, agility and effectiveness.
- Increase your leadership impact while mastering ways to consume less and less of your organisation’s energy, time and resources.
- Develop the leadership toolkit you need to help lead your institution in realising its sustainability potential.
