This TSN has been organised in association with The Academy of Hair, Beauty, Sport & Fitness at Fife College, and will be hosted at their Dunfermline Campus.
This free half-day event will allow attendees the opportunity to explore Fife College’s new Eco-Salon, and hear from the students and staff who work in the Salon and on sustainability elsewhere in the College, as well as a number of other speakers. Elaine Crawford from Dumfries and Galloway College will give a short introduction to her free workbooks which bring sustainability ideas into different college curricula, focusing on her new Beauty workbook, and John Salter, the Network Convenor, will discuss progress and successes across the FE sector in Education for Sustainability. The Learning for Sustainability Scotland team will briefly discuss their Task Groups and invite ideas to explore around education for sustainability in FE, and Rebecca Petford from EAUC-Scotland will give an introduction to LiFE, the EAUC’s planning and self-assessment tool for whole-institutional sustainability.
The event will be held in the Carnegie Conference Centre at Fife College’s Dunfermline Campus from 9:30-12:30 (with registration and refreshments from 9:15) on 17th March 2015.
A full agenda can be found below, and full information on our different Topic Support Networks and Training Events in Scotland can be found here.
If you would like to register your attendance at the event please do so below. The event is open to all working in, working with or studying in further education institutions in Scotland, as well as all EAUC Members and Strategic Partners. Please contact Rebecca Petford with any questions.
