The JISC funded SUSTE-TECH project is has organised a workshop on The Use of ICT to Improve Sustainability Across Estates for June 30th, 2011, at Imperial College in London (see agenda attached and please note the change to an afternoon start time for the event).
Speakers from Imperial College, Queen Margaret University, JISC's Heat & Light by Time Table and Delta projects and RM Education will be presenting on how Estates Departments can use ICT to improve their sustainable performance.
This event will provide an opportunity for you to:
• Learn about the latest in building management systems and how automatic timetabling can minimise energy use,
• Gain a better understanding of how staff and students can become motivated to switch off lights, heat & cooling equipment etc.
by being made aware of their “real-time” energy use,
• Hear about various Estates led sustainable ICT research projects and how they are changing the way institutions
use ICT to monitor energy, waste and water use.
A Q&A session at the end will offer delegates the opportunity to ask our panel of experts questions relating to any aspect of estates management.
