Construction Commitments: Halving Waste to landfill
Attend the WRAP workshop, organised in conjunction with the EAUC, to learn how you can reduce your construction waste and cut costs by implementing the Waste to Landfill Commitment. Prepare for the 2010 Capital Investment Framework from the Higher Education Funding Council for England which promises to demand better environmental performance for all the schemes it funds, including achieving BREEAM ‘Excellent’ for new build. Learn why nine universities and the Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges, with a membership of over 270, have already signed up to the Commitment. Find out how to save money by incorporating a good practice approach to resource use and waste minimisation.
Through presentations, case studies and discussion, you will learn how to work with your supply chain, using the procurement process to measure and improve performance. You may wish to invite your principal supply chain partners to register too.
