About
The work of Leisa Nichols-Drew, Associate Professor in Forensic Biology at De Montfort University (DMU), was a world first in demonstrating that stabbing injuries could be prevented if the kitchen knives had rounded tips. This is of paramount importance as kitchen knives are the most prevalent in criminal activities around the world. Pointed knives result in fatalities and life changing injuries, as all of the force is concentrated on the knife blade tip. By changing our knives, we will make our kitchens, homes, and societies safer.
