Honorary Fellowship - Student Commissioners
Running from 2020 - 2022, the EAUC Board is recognising this great work by offering these students the EAUC Honorary Student Fellowship. This is in appreciation of their time and contribution to the Climate Commission especially with the demands placed on University and College students, not least during the deeply challenging time of the Covid 19 Pandemic.
"Educating the world about climate change is vital to spur a coordinated global response. Establishing a lasting relationship with the EAUC represents a symbolic first step towards one of my goals: enabling ordinary citizens to generate meaningful change."
"This fellowship will give me the opportunity to continue to help the Climate Commission to achieve its mission and aim. Together with the other Student Commissioners, we are doing our best to integrate and embed the student perspectives across all UK on the Climate Commission work and priorities. This recognition will enable us to continue the work started and create future initiatives to keep students connected with the Climate Commission mission. Additionally, this honorary fellowship will help me to develop the skills and knowledge needed to enable educational institutions to make a change in response to the climate emergency. I believe this is a valuable experience important for my future career and as climate advocate."
"Students and educational establishments have a significant opportunity to positively influence sustainability and climate issues. Engaging with the EAUC, with it’s dedication to supporting and driving the important messages, as well as urging real action, will undoubtedly help me in my endeavours to promote a sustainable future and make a real difference in the fight against climate change."
