Sustainable Campus Assessment System
Sustainable Campus Assessment System developed by Office for a Sustainable Campus of Hokkaido University is the first tool to evaluate campus sustainability of higher education institution in Japan. This assessment system has been approved by the university in early 2013. In ver.2, 170 indicators are covering a wide range of issues including policy, financial resource, facility management, curriculum, sustainability literacy, living lab, practical community research, ecosystem, land use, energy, Triple Helix, community service, disaster prevention location, etc. This assessment system is going to be disseminated to other Japanese and Asian universities by cooperating with Campus Sustainability Network in Japan (CAS-Net Japan) newly launched in March, 2014.
