Sustainability Assistant - University of Warwick

The University of Warwick is a vibrant community of over 7,000 staff and over 28,000 students. They are seeking to appoint a enthusiastic passionate Sustainability Assistant to support the implementation of our ambitious Way to Sustainable strategy.

- You will have responsibility for the effective implementation of assigned sustainability projects, with a particular focus on ecology and biodiversity.
- You will lead communication projects, including creating content for social media and monthly newsletters.
- You will organise and host species survey events and campus tours.
- You will be responsible for accurate data collection related to biodiversity on campus.
- You will support departments with Sustainable Development Goal and behaviour change programmes.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for protecting and enhancing spaces for wildlife to thrive. They will have experience of creating content to engage varied audiences in sustainability topics, and be able to collaborate with colleagues at all levels. They will demonstrate their ability to drive concurrent projects, as well as good negotiation skills to overcome challenges.

This role is varied in nature and encompasses data collection and analysis, creating communications materials, stakeholder engagement, events, supporting education and research and championing sustainable behaviour change.
