The University of Huddersfield’s Sustainability Team invites you to attend their first ‘Women in Sustainability’ event where we will be joined by an exciting, all female panel to discuss the vital role of women working in sustainability.
Outlined as one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, Gender Equality and female empowerment is internationally recognised as being at the core of sustainability. Recent research has highlighted the critical role that women in leadership have had in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the importance of the attributes that women in leadership positions bring to the table. In spite of this, according to the Women's Equality Party women make up only 29% of MPs, 25% of judges and 24% FTSE directors.
Come along to hear from our panellists as they showcase the paths they have taken to get to their current roles in sustainability, including challenges they have overcome and the goals they have achieved.
