In this talk Prof. James Longhurst will discuss action on the climate emergency by universities and by students. University research has been important in identifying the causes and consequences of climate change but it is the graduates of today who will live through a changing climate.
Students, future graduates, rightly expect that their university will take action to minimise the institution’s own emissions, undertake research into mitigation and adaptation and via the curriculum to prepare students for the changing climate of tomorrow.
