Bookings are open for the USHA Autumn Seminar taking place on Tuesday 11th October at the Barbican in London.
The seminar's theme of 'supporting staff who support students' with mental wellbeing issues is breaking into areas that have yet to be explored in detail and that have a significant impact across the higher education sector.
The seminar is partnered with the student services organisation AMOSSHE and supported by UUK. The delegate ticket price is £199.
This event has attracted some top calibre speakers including :
•Norman Lamb MP - Chair of the Cross Party Committee on Mental Health
•Dr Ruth Caleb - Chair of Mental Wellbeing in Higher Education
•Paul Farmer - Chief Executive of MIND
•Sir Anthony Seldon - Vice Chancellor University of Buckingham
Sessions will focus on;
• Identifying how mental health difficulties may impact on a student’s capacity to study in various academic settings.
• Raising awareness of the mental health difficulties staff may come across, in order to increase confidence and knowledge
• Support routes that are available across the university.
• How we all can support students and each other regarding mental health.
