Workshop Description:
This interactive and participatory workshop will help participants to make more effective approaches to funders.
During the day we will examine:

Participants are encouraged to bring along projects and work they are looking to fund along with budgets and costings if available.
The session will start at 10am, with registration and refreshments available from 9.45am.

About the Trainer:
Pam Judson is an experienced trainer and consultant who works with a wide range of organisations across the voluntary sector. Over the past 24 years she has consulted with management committees, individuals and staff to strengthen their fundraising capacity through training, strategic planning, proposal writing and research.
Pam is currently a trustee for two large Scottish grant-making trusts and has assessed a wide range of applications for several funders in Scotland. She is a member of The Institute of Fundraising, The Scottish Environmental Fundraisers Forum and the Management Development Network Scotland.

- What makes a good project for you and for the funder
- Why funders give
- The key elements of an effective proposal
- Finding your funders – tips on research and resources

- You will have a better understanding of the funding landscape in Scotland
- You will be aware of what funders expect you to have in place before you approach them
- You will feel more confident in putting together an effective application
- Your knowledge on researching funders will be increased
